» Six numbers of sensitization campaigns are planned in a year.
 
» Aashwas has identified a cluster of seven villages in each of six districts where there is a history of ethnic or terrorist violence.

One day training workshop of police men was held at Special Branch , Kahilipara on 3/12/2001 where the Chairman, Nodal officer and Asstt. Nodal officer were present. The following representatives had delivered lectures / views and ideas. a) Dr. Jyotsna Bhattacharyya Head of Department , Philosophy (Retired) Cotton collage. b) Dr. Jeuti Baruah. Director of Law Research Institution ,Guwahati High Court. c) Dr, Jayanta Das, Psychiatrist, Guwahati. d) Sri Charu Kamal Hazarika, Films producer/Director, Mumbai. e) Father George Kollachang, New Delhi.
 
» Seven such campaigns were already conducted in groups of villages under Rangia, Majuli, Namrup, Dhubri, Sivasagar,Nagaon and Kokrajhar sub-divisions.

As a follow-up of the sensitization campaign at Rangia training of rural youths for self employment was conducted by the SIRD team under the guidance of Tribal Welfare Society where 120 unemployed youths of violence affected villages participated. Nodal officer inaugurated the programme at Tulsibari on 25/3/02 on mushroom cultivation.

80 youths took training on Golden Cow scheme, where officials of Veterinary Department imparted training from 7th to 9th May,2002 at Dwarkuchi at the initiative of Tribal Welfare Society on behalf of Aashwas.

UNICIEF official Ms. Magdalene Chand imparted training to Sri Chandradhar Rajbongshi and Sri Subhendu Sinha of Aashwas Team on documentation of accounts of UNICEF Fund (11/3/2002).

Shri B.J. Mahanta, IPS Nodal Officer, Project Aashwas had visited the memorial where 17 people killed on the fateful night of 13th Jan,1998. The memorial reconstructed with the help of Boro villagers and other village people and is completed.

Awareness campaign by putting up exhibition stall at Jorhat trade fair was launched wef. 08/02/2002 to 17/02/2002 which was inaugurated by Chairman Aashwas Shri H. K. Deka, Nodal Officer was also present there. With the assistance of the District Police, specially that of Mr. P.C. Saloi, S.P. and Mr. Amitav Sinha, DSP (Hqr) a series of function on child rights and issues were held during the period.
